According to mythology, Goddess Parvati cooked Kheer upon these plains because of which in old times Kheer flowed out from here getting this place the name “Kheerganga”. Though in modern times the Kheer turned into water with white formulations, as easy as it goes. The hot water spring gurgling out of the mountains are a bliss after a 12 km strenuous trek.
The Kheerganga trek has gained much popularity with time, providing an enthralling trail along Deodar forests, wooden bridges, waterfalls, glacial views and at last adding to the glory a Sulphur water bath to relax alas!!!
