Trip Itinerary

Arrive in Manali & be driven to Jobra. From Jobra the trek to Chika, takes you through a landscape full of whimsical beauty of nature. The walk initially will take us through mixed forest of pines, deodar, chestnut and maple trees. Crossing the beautiful meadow of a gaddi shepherd camp, walking along River Rani we reach Chika. Pitch your tents at Chika & enjoy a wholesome dinner by the calming silence of the region. Dinner & Overnight in tents.
Today post breakfast we trek from Chikha to Balu ka Ghera, initially passing through the lush green meadows adorned by the mighty views of Dhauladhar range. Soon the green terrain changes to a rocky topography of Balu Ka Ghera. As we trek to Balu Ka Ghera we reach Jwara meadows which are the intersection of two valleys in the middle of a grassy landscape. Today we will pitch our tents in this new campsite at Balu ka Ghera surrounded by the slow hustling sound of river flowing by. Dinner & Overnight in tents.
Today we start from the camp with a steep climb on a gravel ridden terrain to reach a ridge leading to yet another ridge. With the Indrasan & Deotibba range adorning the scene along with the ranges towards Lahaul, take out time to capture these splendid views. The final climb to the Hampta pass ridge will be worth all the effort for its spellbinding landscape. After a hearty lunch we will start our steep descend to Shea Gahru campsite. Perched beautifully between the mountains, Shea Gahru will be your abode for the night. Celebrate the simple joys of being in the mountains with a bonfire & dinner under the open sky.
For adventure enthusiasts the thrill continues, with descend from Shea Gahru to Chatru, demanding a careful downhill navigation. Walking on scree & boulder ridden sections we will cease our journey on foot at Chatru. From Chatru we will drive to Chandratal Lake, the blue coloured lake perched at an altitude of 4,250 m. Treat your eyes with the beautiful peaks reflecting in the placid waters of the lake & take with you the calming vibe of this region. From Chandratal we will drive back to Chatru, a high altitude cold desert. Dinner & Overnight in tents.
Today post breakfast, we drive amidst the Himalayan panorama to reach Manali via Rohtang pass. Trip ends here.
