Trip Overview

The panaromic views from this peak which stands to the south of Leh includes that of Karakoram and Ladakh and zanskar range along with bird’s eye view of Leh city and Indus Valley. Stok Kangri peak is a great way to summit a 6000m plus himalayan peak without much mountaineering skills or experience, The challenge of steep climbs, exhaustion and depleted density of air makes this trek challenging but highly rewarding, this makes acclimatisation a necessity for this trek. With the first 2days in Leh before the trek, exploring Leh becomes a big perk to trekking Stok Kangri.
